Consultant Physician and the Clinical Lead at the Oxford Centre for Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism, part of Oxford University Hospitals.

After qualification in Manchester, Gary trained in London, Hull, Reading and Oxford. His DPhil (PhD) looked at obesity, insulin resistance and adipose tissue metabolism, and his clinical interests focus on diabetes, fat metabolism and he is also involved in the organisation and delivery of care. He moved to Nottingham and Derby as a Consultant before returning to Oxford in February 2012.
