DR. SERGEY LYASS MD, FACS

Dr. Lyass received his medical degree from the Moscow Medical University, Moscow, Russia in 1985. He served his internship and residency in General Surgery at the Department of Surgery at the Hebrew University-Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem, Israel, and then followed up with a senior residency at the Department of Surgery at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Lyass completed his training at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, as a senior surgical resident and then chief surgical resident in the Department of Surgery. Following his extended residency training, Dr. Lyass completed s Fellowship in Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery at Cedars-Sinai's Medical Center in Los Angeles.
Dr. Lyass is in private practice in Los Angeles and is a teaching attending in the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center residency and fellowship programs.
Dr. Lyass is board certified in General Surgery. He is the author of more than 100 papers in peer reviewed journals and presentations on Laparoscopic and Bariatric Surgery.
